- I'm 55 and been married to Marie for 27 years. Our elder son Robbie (26) spends his days with Autism Initiatives in the Isle of Man while younger son Ben (22) is in his fourth year at Hull University studying medicine after spending a year in Denmark where he gained an extra BSc. My biggest regret is that I wasn't born in the Isle of Man. My mother (Gwelda Crowe) was born in Kirk Michael and her family are as Manx as the slieaus but my father (Bill, from Hampshire) came over here during the war whilst serving in the training corps. When they married, they settled in Hampshire and I was 8 before the Isle of Man became our home.
